Book Overview

Aging with Grace by the Power of the Gospel

Whatever season of life you're in, God has equipped you to flourish--to live in the transforming power and beauty of his grace. As we age, we can easily lose sight of this message as cultural ideals glorifying youth take center stage.

In this book, Sharon W. Betters and Susan Hunt offer present-day and biblical examples of women who rediscovered gospel-rooted joy later in their lives. Equipped with a biblical view of aging, Aging with Grace will help you encounter afresh the gospel that is big enough, good enough, and powerful enough to make every season of life significant and glorious.

   Not very practical or interesting
Yes, I have returned the book. It didn't have realistic conversation as much as idealistic, he said.

You won't want to put this down
Even though I am less than one month shy of 70, I can't wait to share it with others who are much younger. Yes, I am older, but so is everyone else, a day older than we were yesterday. It is time we all face that fact and learn how to live with it gracefully. This book is a powerful tool.

You will LOVE the exhortation and encouragement of this book!
It's just what I needed to remind myself that God has much purpose and direction for each of our lives, he said. It challenged me to ask how am I traveling heavenward? I'm just about done, and I'll read it again. I already have sent it to sisters and friends and will do a study at Church for the fall.

The author understands God's great grace and how it is vital to each day, young or old
The book is very well written, Douglas said. It renewed my knowledge of God's Word to know I can flourish full of sap and stay green for the kingdom, he said. It brought such great joy to me, he said. I have purchased six copies and given them away to others. Our journey as the Body of Christ through the covid trauma was challenging but with our God all things are possible to those that believe, he said. Young people, I would recommend it to all. He said: "We all are vital, flourishing part of God's plan."

This book is more than expected.
I'm not a huge fan of Michael Lewis, but this book is worth a read. The book is the culmination of the lives of five women who achieved middle age gracefully. It's just that we don't have that culture cast aside. It is optional, the Web site said. It's just that we might as well do it well." Thanks for the book. Like the Beatles, I like that the authors have experienced much of the same obstacles to aging with grace that all of us face. He was a devoted husband and father who died a tragic death. And that's just perspective. As we age, we get older, he said.

   Excellent Book
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call us. We are reading it as a group of different ages, genders and sexual orientations. We are sharing our lives with one another, Raymond said.

   Inspiring!
This book was wonderful—really a great call to be conformed more and more to Jesus, as we age, no matter what our age. The Bible passages, the way Susan Hunt and Susan Betters explain things, and the personal stories in each chapter served as a clarion call to serve the Lord and others all of our lives.

   EVERYONE SHOULD READ
The book is written by two Godly women who I would highly recommend as a read and def a study guide of which you can buy a study kit to help if you wanted but not necessary. Thanks to Sharon and Susan Hunt for this book.

I am fifty-one and want to be a woman who is growing and flourishing toward old age in an anti-aging culture, Raymond said.
