WINER OF THE PULITZER PRIZE
From the highly acclaimed, multiple award-winning Anthony Doerr, the beautiful, stunningly ambitious instant New York Times bestseller about a blind French girl and a German boy whose paths collide in occupied France as both try to survive the devastation of World War I.

Marie-Laure lives with her father in Paris near the Museum of Natural History, where he works as the master of its thousands of locks. When she is six, Marie-Laure goes blind and her father builds a perfect miniature of their neighborhood so she can memorize it by touch and navigate her way home.    Enjoyable and well written
I usually read books from historical mystery series (and the occasional general/popular nonfiction book with variable results). This book was well written in the sense that it was both captivating and easy to understand. Descriptive in both imagery and emotion. I do not often recommend books to my husband as he is more into science fiction and select nonfiction books, but he also very much enjoyed this book. It is on both of our all-time favorites lists. I would encourage anyone to give it a shot even if they usually prefer a different genre.

All the light we cannot see
I loved this book. It didn't seem like fiction. I really got caught up in the story. It was well researched.
