The kids really enjoyed learning the meaning of "Aloha"
I bought it to read in my classroom when we did a topic on islands. The children really enjoyed learning the meaning of Aloha and loved saying it to each other. It is a great way to introduce children to different languages and cultures.
This is a Hawaiian book that talks about a beautiful culture and values. I liked it, although kind of simple ''. One thing I thought was bizarre, Aloha is pleasing to your parents. This book is kind of an off-page in the book. I 'd say that my child does what he is told, but I never want to send him a message that he must live in order to please his parents. Sort of a strange one. Nevertheless, the rest of the book is normal.
   Excellent children’s books
We bought this for a granddaughter because she comes to visit us for the first time in Hawaii and just loves the books!
Such a well-written book that represents the culture
I now bought 2 of these books. My family and I lived for a year in Oahu. I loved how family oriented culture. This book really represents what I experienced on the island : love and patience, taking care of each other and the island. I love this book so much ''. I give it to you as gifts!
   Great book
Although it took a while to receive it, it was worth it. The great children already have one ; I wanted to buy one for my library. It is a simple book, but a thoughtful book. I read it to a pre- school class and it made me cry a little. How a word can mean so much.
