Really relaxes my class during transitions.
I just started using it this week. I installed the Kindle on my laptop so I could project a book when my second graders transition. We simply take a few breaths and we're good to go, Mr. Rule told the judge. Worth every penny, Michael Mosley said.
   Excellent preschool classroom resource
I was worried my class was too young for this book, but they love it, I teach 4th graders. The exercises are designed to improve coordination and the flexibility of the knees. I use the practice of these breathing exercises to help them with self-control, managing their feelings and making space for their words, Coach Julie Goin said. The technique takes practice and repetition, but it is working. The watercolor exercises are also soothing and beautiful, Ms. Caramore said. I highly recommend this book to anyone.
If you are working with young children this book is a must have!
I am a licensed clinical social worker working with mostly preschoolers. By taking it one letter at a time, many of the kids love the beautiful pictures and by using them as a jumping-off point, many fun therapeutic breathing techniques can be learned and most importantly, applied.
Great book incorporating breath and movement
I've been using this in my yoga classes, incorporating movement and poses with the breath, for children of all ages. It's great for kids to connect the idea of breath and movement, said Dr. Julie Mason, director of pediatric neurosurgery at Boston Children's Hospital. Jordan and I made it up to the kids that it was long, but all the kids have really liked it!
   Baby Yoga
The whole family can breathe like a dragon and the alphabetical order can be a pre-reading tool, too. You can always send one to a new parent in the hope that breathing will help them too.
   Love this book!
A great book, said Sara. As a psychologist and mindfulness practitioner, I couldn't help but recommend this book to kids and the adults in their lives to have fun taking all kinds of breaths. It was a natural progression for the children, who also came up with their own ideas of alphabreaths. Thanks for the tip.
Ages 3 & 5.... my girls LOVE this book.
Our girls will have lots of choices to choose from in the house, Mrs. Dhaliwal said. This is probably my 3yr old's current favorite, and the 5yr old also enjoys it tons. In a few nights ago at bedtime my older daughter wanted to play the game of trying to remember what each letter was, and we'd make up a new one if we couldn't think of it. He's a great addition to any home library.
   For kids and adults
The book includes 25 fun and funky breath names for kids that were inspired by real kids.
   An awesome introduction to mindfulness!
I use this book as a tool for youth empowerment workshops. This is an awesome introduction to mindful breathing for that age range. The illustrations were beautiful, and the different types of "breaths" kept the kids engaged in practicing mindfulness while having fun, too. The kids were so excited to pick a letter and see what type of breath they would learn with each letter. This book is an introduction to mindful breathing for any early childhood educator.
   Wonderful book!
Pre-ordered this because I love the idea of teaching mindfulness to children. My two-year-old grandson responded enthusiastically to it and to try to breathe in the different ways. Yes, I will use it with him for many years. Thanks for the support!
