   I bought it twice.
I already had the earlier edition of the book, so I bought the update thinking it would help my writing. I was absolutely correct. This is not a book to be taken lightly, nor is it a new edition by virtue of adding a few new words, an updated comment here and there. The authors take their task very seriously, including taking to heart comments they had received about the first edition, and making important changes to the new version. This book is for sale. It could not hurt. It might change your life. It will give you a new list of rentals at the store. You' ll understand why you like them.

   Good information for those already familiar with the basics
This is a must read if you already know basic screenwriting techniques. Examples from films are included in the alternative methods presented. The reader learns new approaches to writing screenplays and learns what traditional screenplays should contain.
