Just not like the older books

I was hoping for the same lyrical and sensible nonsense portrayed in the older books, but this book seemed tedious.

Finally an appropriate book series

First of all, I am a traditionalist ''. Initially, I had a difficult time accepting this young Amelia Bedelia. Finally, I loved Amelia Bedelia as a girl. After reading the first book in the series with my kindergartener, we were hooked. Amelia Bedelia is very kind-hearted. She is creative, excited, friendly, and real. She actually has a mother and a dad who seem to be quite happy in their lives and situation-refreshing! My kindergartner and I have enjoyed the age appropriate story line and also discussed the misunderstandings and what they really mean. This seems to be a great series for younger readers.

My granddaughter is 6 yr old and loves to read like her sister, who is 8. I watched her reading Amelia Bedelia for a hour. She did not know that I was watching, but she made my day. I bought chapter books by Herman Parish, this was the second time she loves reading these books. She told me what she wanted to read when she arrived on Amazon.

My daughter couldn 't afford to buy my books to my grand children, and they love reading. I am not able to do a lot of additional spending either, but want the children to love books as I do and have the opportunity to have some. I was so glad to find them, and at such a wonderful price ''. I was able to get the kids each several books of their own and were so glad to get them! Nanny!!! Go out there and get it! I will also buy some more for them!

Our first introduction to this character was from her older and already domestic worker. These books, highlighting her childhood adventures, are also awesome. These are great to help kids transition into independent readers and help distinguish between phrases that use alliteration and versus Taking Everything Literally.

My 4.5 year old son loves Amelia Bedelia, which I also love because I was obsessed as a little girl. My Amelia Bedelia was an older version of growing up, but I like the new young version to connect with kids of this generation. You would think that these books are geared towards girls, and yet my all-boy rough and tumble kiddo loves these.

Witty and fun

They're a modern take on the series I read as a little girl, so it is wonderful to be able to relive Amelia's silly antics with my daughter in a new way. This book is funny and does not have any questionable content. Besides Amelia's father, Amelia is our favorite character. In her own way, mom is funny and very much like a real mother. Sadly, many books are today marketed towards children of divorce, so I am glad to have a series for traditional families.
