   Always a new readers favorite go to
These have always been a favorite of my kids. They are so funny that I don't mind reading them again and again. I don't have to pull my teeth to read. My only problem is that they are not easy to memorize. I would like to see more. I introduced them to my kids when they were small but didn't give them a collection until they were reading on their own. There are 6. My 10 year old is still nostalgic for them.

   Game changer for struggling reader!
The Piggy and Gerald books are extra special because they are written by Mo Willems. Knowing how much my son enjoyed having them read to him, I thought reading through these would encourage him to read more. And it did. He excitedly opened the book and began to read on his own, often out loud to his younger sister. I made a deal with him that I would order the next volume in the series once he read the stories. He was so confident that he sat down and read the whole thing to me in one sitting, loving and laughing through it.

   These stories never fail
The books are genius. The easy to read words, the easy to understand art, and the familiar characters are all great ways to get kids interested in reading and understanding art. My students love hearing the stories they want to hear over and over again. A good story is supposed to help a child understand the moral by discovering meaning along the way, and these stories do that. They are always sweet and entertaining. One of the greats will be Willems.

   Big hit with the kid
My daughter loves reading this book. She loves looking for easter eggs, like the pigon peeking out on many pages, and the sarcastic introductions, because they make her laugh.

   Five books in 1 edition is perfect.
We love reading Elephant and Piggie books. I have introduced all of these books to my great nieces and nephews at a very young age. They are favorites of everyone. I wanted to keep my own copy to read to the new arrivals in the family, after buying so many individual copies. The series of books combined into one book are perfect. I will buy all the upcoming editions because I have all the published ones. I read them to the children with emphasis on the emotions shown by the bold to small print. Great read. Great deal.

   BIG collection of several Elephant and Piggie stories
Modern classics include the Elephant and Piggie stories. The series is the gateway drug to literacy, and I worked as a children's librarian for many years. I bought three volumes for our roofer to give to his children. It's convenient to have five books in one volume, but each one is heavy and intimidating for small hands to hold. Five stars, definitely, for this superb series, but consider purchasing the original, separate copies for young readers, in classic beginning reader size, instead of the thick collections.

   Love Mo Willems!
This is the perfect collection of books for a Mo Willems fan or an early reader. The illustrations are fun, the characters are endearing, and the text is easy to understand for beginning readers. My kids love to read. This collection is in a hardcover and a sturdy binding. We will be getting the rest of the books. The kids love looking for the pigeons.

   We LOVE elephant and piggie!
We love to read all three of them. We read the entire book in one night after receiving this one. We enjoy using different voices for the characters and have a good time reading together. We love the books. Fantastic!
