Book Overview

This Description may be from another edition of this product.

Building on wisdom from Hindu, Christian, and Kaballah traditions, this comprehensive guide to energy healing reveals the hidden stresses, beliefs, and attitudes that cause illness.

Anatomy of the Spirit is the boldest presentation of energy medicine to date, written by one of its premier practitioners, internationally acclaimed medical intuitive Caroline Myss, who is amongst the hottest new voices in the alternative health/spirituality scene (Publishers Weekly). Based on fifteen years of research into energy medicine, Dr. Myss's work shows how every illness corresponds to a pattern of emotional and psychological stresses, beliefs, and attitudes that have influenced corresponding areas of the human body.

Anatomy of the Spirit also presents Dr. Myss's breakthrough model of the body's seven centers of spiritual and physical power, in which she synthesizes the ancient wisdom of three spiritual traditions-the Hindu chakras, the Christian sacraments, and the Kabbalah's Tree of Life-to demonstrate the seven stages through which everyone must pass in the search for higher consciousness and spiritual maturity. With this model, Dr. Myss shows how you can develop your own latent powers of intuition as you simultaneously cultivate your personal power and spiritual growth.

By teaching you to see your body and spirit in a new way, Anatomy of the Spirit provides you with the tools for spiritual maturity and physical wholeness that will change your life.

   Most interesting...
Extremely interesting book. I must say that at times I was entangled in terms and in relation to the depth of understanding the languages of the spirit. I had to read a lot of the intro material again, and I had to re-read a lot of the original material. What an enlightening book! Caroline Myss was a gifted woman-Caroline Myss. I found that this is not a book I could breeze through. It has taken time for me to digest slowly a part at a time.
I don't want to hear about the time your daughter did drugs and enjoyed it.
I am seriously a fan of Anodea Judith and James Allen. This book is straight forward, thoughtful and memorable, and none of these is any of these. There was a paragraph where Hallucinogens went on about the pleasant experience her daughter had with Myss... Come on! Western Mind, Eastern Body is the way to go. It has summaries and focuses on you, not the stories of people who are supposedly trying to promote legitimacy.
   Loved this book
One of the better books I have read in awhile. Very insightful. I have about 100 sticky-tabs in it with notes all over. I am sad that I waited so long to find Myss, but everything was in its time.
If you're on a spiritual journey buy this book
I love this book, it is very well written ''. It is inspirational. Informative information is provided. One you will often refer to and keep and one you will often want to refer to. If you are looking to grow spiritually, I would recommend it.
   A book worth reading!
This book is worth reading! ! It has definitely come back to me in a full circle, because my husband gave me a book to read many years ago, when I was not open to reading at the time. This book contains true wisdom and enlightenment, which is wonderful for the soul and inspiring the spirit. Now that I started reading this book, I decided to read the book Kabbalah again my husband gave me. Very interesting how things can bring you right back to where you started!
   Such a wonderful guide
Recently I went through a holistic coach program and this book reaffirmed everything related to Chakras. A must read :
A little bit of a dry read but provokes amazing thought into our bodies and how we function
A dry read, but stimulates a little bit of a beautiful thought into our bodies and how we function. As a healthcare provider, I found this very intriguing.
