   five stars
This is a great book to help review the body systems and breaks down complicated information in very easy to understand fragments. Im glad I had this to supplement my studies for really difficult chapters. CONS was not really a problem with the book, but a word of warning. Make sure that you are mostly using the text that YOUR professor wants you to study from. For example, this book says that the source of oxytocin is the pituitary part of the posterior vesicle. Had I written that on my test, I would get it wrong, because my textbook says the source of oxytocin is the hypothalamus and is secreted by the posterior pituitary gland. This is only a deal if you don 't know your own degree, and don 't know how your professor's professors mark, so I give the book five stars!

Very easy to read and understand.
I love that its an easy read and love learning about this subject! It is very satisfying to understand the way the body works inside. One of my favorite books!

Wished it wasNt a black and white book
This book appears to be informative. I am about to start my AandP course this summer. Let's see if this prepares me for it. The reason I gave a 3 star is because it arrived extremely bent! Like the cover and the pages are the cheap paper material. Seems like it was bent under something very heavy that half of the book is sitting under. I am also not too fond of black and white pages. I thought it would be colored. When it comes to AandP, I like the colors! But it appears to be a good book. Let's see how it goes... I update soon.

   Disappointment
This is not worth the money, it is very high-level information suitable for an eight-year-old. IS NOT I repeat IS NOT for a college course save your money and get a better book or use your universities resources. I wish I would have done something similar. I wish I would have done something I wish I would have done. Even the pictures do not capture all aspects of Anatomy. Very disappointing wish '' that I could get my money back!

   A Little Too Basic
I bought this book for my niece who is studying for the RHDS exam. She finds it good as far as it goes. However, for her needs it is a little too basic. I help her study, and I see what she means. The entire section on the skeletal system comprises only the pages 89 to 115, inclusive. In addition, we did not like the use of humor in the book, but I think that almost all Dummies books are written in this way. However, if you are looking for an overview of human anatomy and physiology, this will probably be okay. And if you're a high school student, this should also fill the bill. But for professional people, beyond high school level, I think the book is a little light. It does contain diagrams, and it explains human anatomy and physiology in terms that anyone can understand. If you stick with it, you can easily read it in a day. It was not a total loss to my niece. She needs just more.

As simple as a subject like anatomy can be!
We learn anatomy using your book and others, but this book has been our favorite. It is great for my high schooler and my 5th grade even listens in. I ask questions and quiz them against their aunt and uncle, one of whom is a physical therapist and the other a personal trainer! From this course, my children have learned so much.

My book had a long scratch along the front cover
A great book, but there was a tiny scratch on the front of the cover. I was told that if I would have known that my book was going to look like this, I would have purchased a used copy. Paid $20 for this when I could have gotten one for around $13. It is not a big deal, just wish I would have known sooner.

   Get acquainted with your body!
Felt the need to learn something new. Not in the field, not in the field. Can put it down hardly any. Fascinating and written interestingly and so that the layperson can understand it.

   Great illustrations
This was a great book for a and p. It is broken into systems and explains lil better at the level you can interpret better than medical talk. If you have to read A and P this would be great to have before you start the course, as it gives you a short overview of each body system. It would have been more beneficial had it started before the class was completed. But it's a quick overview of the system and its functions.

   bonus cotent not accessible
I purchased this book and the workbook to do some review. However, I am unable to access the online content bonus. When I visit the site, as directed in the book, the prompts are lacking. Attempting a work around, looking the book up and attempting to access it in that way is a joke. The site is ad ridden when searching articles and other information is not helpful and has come up only remotely close to fulfilling key words. The books themselves have been helpful, but I chose this particular set over another because of the online content that was supposed to be available. Devoutly disappointed, will not use this series again.
