   Fun books for the right child, a little scary for others
We bought it for our son because I've always loved reading these kind of books. I forgot how true to history and how violent they could be. Before you give them to a younger child, make sure they are appropriate for them. In many instances, the adventurers end up getting killed off in very unpleasant ways.

   She and my 9 year old son both really like the book and loved the idea
It was a great present for my 7 year old daughter who is excited about history and interested in Egyptian history. She and my son both really like the book and the whole thing appealed to us. My son thought that there would be more story to each path, and I admit that there are usually only three or four choices to be made before reaching The End. Both kids are eagerly reading and rereading it to try the different paths and periods, and I have already gotten requests for more in the series.

   Make a wonderful read aloud
The fifth and final book, "The Fall of Babylon," was also a great read. Rather than a book, I am using them as a read aloud to supplement our home-school story of the world. The kids are so into making the choices and seeing their fate, Sosa said. It has pictures of the people in the book within the text. I plan to buy the next edition of books by next year.

I loved reading this kind of book when I was a kid. I didn't realize how violent they could be. Before you give a younger child the endings, make sure they are appropriate for them. You can end up getting killed off in a lot of the adventures.
