It’s Helping My Son
Derived From Web , Jul 28, 2020
The book has been good for my son and me. He is 7 years old and has an anxiety that causes him to cry when he says he doesn't know why he is angry. We have been doing a few pages of this book each morning while he is completely calm. It helped me stop and think about my own emotions.

Very wordy
Derived From Web , Apr 9, 2019
I work in private practice and community clinics. The design and most of the content is great, but the informational passages are too long for a kid of this age type. Many kids with anger issues have trauma or other issues that make it hard to read. I find myself skimming and summarizing for the kids, which is against the purpose. The kids are excited to have a workbooks like this, but then lose interest because the first few activities are too wordy or abstract. It would be best for kids over 10 years old.

Effective and meaningful!

My students love this book. I handed the book to one of the 5th graders when he came for a break in my office. I told him to go through all the bookmarks and check the pages he wanted to complete with the anger management group. He asked, "can I add checkmarks to pages you didn't bookmark too?" I look forward to using this resource with my students all the time. Thank you for that!

Very kid friendly

This book will be great for addressing anger with the kids I work with. It is a great place for kids to go and have fun with a group. It's about accepting and getting to know your anger in order to cope with it, instead of trying to avoid it all together.
