This was my first book of crochet patterns and I absolutely love all the Pica Pau creatures. The directions are clear and you don 't need to be an expert to get started! Don 't be intimidated by all the small pieces, it's all great info broken into small manageable chunks. You can even borrow and match some parts, like my pig, Hamlet was supposed to wear swim trunks and floaties, but he wanted to be a poet, so I borrowed the shirt bit from the bear! I bought the second book for a friend and loves it absolutely! I need to order a copy of myself!

Beautiful patterns

The author actually starts with a large section to teach you to sew, read patterns and crochet together. I did not need this section as an experienced crocheter, but it was very well done. The whole book is simply done beautifully. The author thanks the author. Her designs are sweet and bring joy in the making and giving. Regardless of the level of experience or inexperience, I highly recommend this book.

This was my first Amigurumi and I was a little reluctant to try it, but this book was actually perfect to get started. The patterns are super basic, very easy to follow, great for beginners, as it has a whole section explaining the cute and quirky stitches. I can 't wait to get started on another one of these dolls.

I ve loved this book! There are lots of good pictures, the directions are very clear and simple and the patterns are just adorable! I would recommend this to crocheters of just about any skill level, if they wanted to make some cute and unique looking amigurumi. There are instructions at the beginning of the book for every kind of sewing technique you will need for these patterns. Each animal also has a name and a cute little blurb about its personality, which adds a further layer of charm in my opinion!

I love this book ''. I first made the frog and now the dragon. This is a beautiful book to look at and have in your library. It is hard to find unusual little creatures to crochet and I am bored with the same baby type animals. One last thing is that I wanted to learn something new and with this book I am learning many new things and that is what makes it so exciting and fun to work on. Be sure and get a good yarn of thinnish quality. I actually ordered mine from Etsy off Lithuania for $2 per skein! They are perfect and they are amazing for something like this.

Very well written, step by step instructions,beautiful illustrations. I have completed two of the characters, the frog and the donkey, and if you follow the pattern, everything turns out as shown. Highly recommended!!!
