Santa bought this for a secret Santa gift. Bought this for a secret Santa gift. I figured it would be a great coffee table bookdecor. After gifting, I was able to look through it, the photos are awesome and the exterior of the book would go with most households if it was a gift for display. I honestly thought about purchasing for myself because it was so much fun to look at all the photography!

Mostly repeated, old content

If you already have one Annie Leibovitz, especially portraits, then you have seen MOST of the content of this book. A lot of repeated images has been created. Most of the new content, largely coming from subjectal photo sets for magazines, are collapsed into 4-6 images per post, and these are not even the raw photos, but are photos of the other books that are opened to these pages, which is a TERRIBLE way to view these images. Get this one, skip one of the other books, this is just a moneygrab.

fantastic survey of her work; my favorite so far

For me, my favorite book by hers to date, aside from the big Phaidon 'Sumo'book, is my favorite book of hers. I saw her last show at the Hauser and Wirth gallery, which was fantastic and mostly reportage work, with some engaging captions and stories to help fill in some of the details and backstory. Really important at capturing some great moments from the last few decades. A great addition to my collection, a great addition to my collection.
