Book Overview

Anointed, Transformed, Redeemed: A Study of David - Bible Study Book provides the participant experience for the women's Bible study taped at the 2007 Deeper Still conference featuring Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer, and Kay Arthur. These three women explored their lives and the life of David in this six-session Bible study. The messages presented by these beloved authors are divided into three segments, two lessons from each author. Each segment focuses on the life of David at a different stage of his life: as a young man (sessions one and two by Priscilla Shirer), as a middle-aged man (sessions three and four by Beth Moore), and as a man facing the final third of his life (sessions five and six by Kay Arthur). You'll laugh with them, cry with them, and learn to love God with them.

The Bible Study Book includes:

  • 6 weeks of interactive Bible study
  • Includes group leader helps

   Solid study
The portion of the study that I liked the most was from Shirer. I learned a lot in my life. I did not do her studies before this. I have done all of Beth Moore's studies and she is an all- time favorite. Her section was good. Kay Arthur's was good, but I don't like her method of circling this, use this color for something, etc. I don't find it interesting.

Other than the poor print quality, good study.
The print in the book was so light it was hard to read. I ordered three copies of the same thing. I had to place a later order of one more copy because the printing problem was notexistent. It was a good study, but it must have been a bad batches. I liked having different teaching styles. It was a nice study. It's perfect for summer.

   Excellent!
The small Bible study group loved the study. This would be a great place to start if you' re new to the study. We' ve done many studies on Beth Moore, but we didn't know who Kay Arthur was or why. They were wonderful, and we have ordered a study from them.

   Good study
This is a good study. When you watch the accompanying videos, they cut you off and you don't get the whole original session, so you feel left out or a bit disorganized. The format is different from other Beth Moore type studies and having several writers makes for a unique blend of personality. You should be prepared for a survey type study.

   Annointed, Transformed and Redeemed.
It was interesting to read about David's life. The information in the book by these 3 writers is very encouraging and life changing. Being obedient and relying on God is the focus.

   Wonderful insight
Oh wow! God uses you in all circumstances, that's what each of these women thinks. David had a heart for God but also a heart for Jesus. David set his sights on the Almighty.

   Good small group study
I don't like all the different types of versions of different bibles, but this study was done with our churches women's group. Pick one and move on. It gets a little repetitive at the end, but it really makes you think about things.
