Not Worth the Money

It is clear that this book was written for the sake of having a sequel as opposed to having an actually good story to read. My daughter is obsessed with Gaston, but she could care less about this book.

A great sequel to Gaston
Derived From Web , Jun 4, 2018
A engaging sequel to Gaston, though not as great as that. Gaston was for my toddler due to the repetition a great book. This one did not interest her as much.

Beautifully done

Who says that children can not appreciate the artistry in their books? This is one of the best illustrators. I find myself thoroughly enjoying flipping through the pages to see Antoinette, Gaston, etc. The story is also charming. While I am a self-confessed book geek, anyone would find this book delightful and of excellent quality.

Not quite as good as Gaston
Derived From Web , Aug 29, 2017
While not quiet as cute in either art work or history, it is a nice addition to our family library. The writing retains familiarity with the repetitions of the puppy names and the would you like to see... again '', but there isn 't quite as much to discuss or look at -- although readers who can discuss Paris and landmarks might disagree. The kid likes it, and I'm glad we added it to the library, but I don 't think it quite lived to Gaston. I prefer the more marker '' style art in Gaston and didn't really care for the more paper cut '' style parts of Antoinette. That said, the kid still likes it and doesn't seem to think that it is any less fun!

I loved Gaston and now the second book, Antoinete by Kelly DiPuccho with sweet illustrations by the same artist as Gaston, has become a beautiful addition to my children's book collection! Thank you for the consistency in design and the delight! I recommend this book highly to all children and to all Poodle lovers and French bulldog lovers. In fact, all dog lovers, parents and non-parents, all ages and teachers, use reading material for their classroom!

I have been waiting anxiously for this follow-up to Kelly DiPuccio from Gaston and and it is finally out there in the world!!! VERDICT both Antoinette and Gaston are must-haves for libraries and gifts and home and children and adults and I love them so much! '' So do my 5yo and my students at school who love having continuing characters in books. Sweet puppies with cute illustrations make these such fun to read alouds.
