   The Go To Anatomy Atlas
At Las is the go-to-netter for anatomy. Currently I am using this for my first year of high school and it has all the graphics I need. These images are often used by professors on examinations. I have a previous version of the pdf edition of the Atlas and this edition is definitely worth the upgrade compared to that. The reason for this is that the tables I see in the older edition are not present. This edition there is a table at the end of each muscle section, their movement, blood supply, internal combustion, and the muscle group. This is an awesome resource for a shortened version of the information you will need on exams. Friends who have the older version spent hours writing tables of their own, finding new material for that information flipping through endless material. I would highly recommend this as the first atlas that you get. You can find additional information on the web or add another Atlas to the collection if you feel that you need one. Hopefully this will be the best first starter with which to start.

Pretty drawings but a little overrated
The drawings are clear, and I am glad that I studied it, because this is the resource I would like to use in my practice, to show anatomical features of patients. For actually learning material, however, I found Grants atlas of anatomy to be much more helpful as it includes verbal descriptions, and I learn best if I have descriptions to accompany graphics.

A must have for grad students
Anyone going to Med School, PA or NP school should have this. Awesome! It was suggested to me by several graduate students, and I ended up bringing it through graduation to every clinical.

   the best!!
The best : I use it in combination with human anatomy and color atlas. I'll have all three opened up to the part of the body I am going over and the efficiency if studying is unmatched.

It would be nice if this book was a bit more detailed
It would be nice to have this book a little more detailed. It will probably work for most high school courses, but I would not recommend it for the undergrad med school. The images are simple to understand and well done.

   Beautiful illustrations!
The Atlas of Human Anatomy is a detailed reference with wonderful illustrations. This book comes with a code that you can use for a free trial of the interactive study guide on the net. It is thick and a bit heavy to carry, but wonderful to keep around your office or home for a quick look, and the color coded pages make it even easier to use! I would definitely recommend this book!    The only book you need to pass your anatomy class.
Highly recommend you buy this and not rent if you are going into a health profession, because you’ll probably want to keep it moving forward in your degree. It is all pictures with labels with no practical paragraphs to get in the way of studying for your lengthy test part. This book saved my ass when I was trying to learn all the different names of skull anatomy. Fossas and foramen that seemed so unclear on some of the models we were asked to study.

The most important of studying human body is to know where veins, arteries and nerves function
It is a human book of the wonderful structure. I learned the details of each part of the body, which has improved my understanding of how to treat my patients effectively. It would be nice to have the new edition including veins'valves.

is useful in understanding how muscles work and how interrelated they ...
This book is an educational book used by most nursing students, although I am not a nursing student, I found it quite helpful in understanding the human structure and the intricacies of the system. I try to explain to my doctor just how or where the problem is and always seem to fail until I have invested in this book. It is also useful in understanding how muscles work and how interconnected they are to other parts such as the ligaments, the vascular system and much more. When I run out of it, I donate it to a nursing student or library. It is overwhelming for ordinary people such as myself, but serves the purpose for my immediate needs. Educational tool of great importance.
