My 8 year old son actually asks to keep reading!
Though my 8 year old is a pretty good reader, he feels that reading is effortful. Getting him to do his weekly reading for the school has been like pulling teeth! We ended up trying the Notebook of Doom books on Kindle because I couldn 't get to the library and noticed that these books were economical and well rated in reviews. He loves her! He actually says that he wants to keep reading even after the time limit for the homework is complete. One day he wanted to finish reading so long that he started and finished the book in a day! My husband and I fell on the floor almost. He says that he does not want to try books from another series, but wants to keep going with these books just as. We are very happy.

Great for kids just getting into chapter books
He can be a reluctant reader if the story line or area of interest does not grab his attention.

Great series for beginning readers and parents!
Doom loves all the books in the notebooks of the Love All The Books'' series. I am so happy that I found this series for my son and I to enjoy together.

   Great Series
This is a wonderful series of books written and illustrated. Follow Alexander Bopp on a journey through his new home town as he meets a few new friends and teams up with them to save his school and town. Each book can be previous, but sometimes they draw from standalone stories.

8 year old is addicted to this series. She ...
She reads a book in a day or two. She is in a bilingual program so she knows how to read Spanish and struggles to read English, but these really interest her and does not frustrate her while her class is now learning English reading.

   Great father daughter time
We love these books! My favorite eight-year-old in the whole world and I think these books are great. My Wii - girl especially likes when I use different voices for the characters. Troy Cummings is long and deserves five stars all day long.

   Fantastic series!
We read them together every night before bed and he always begs one more chapter for another chapter. He now looks forward to bedtime because he knows that we get to read these books before we go to sleep. The series inspires creativity for young people. If I could, I would give more than 5 stars.
