Great Book!

The book is very good. My son absolutely loved it, and I had to read it too. He does a great job of telling parts of the original story from other perspectives and adding even more information. What a wonderful surprise it is to find yourself reading a book. What are the other characters thinking? The boys must have some explaining to do, because they act the way that they do, Mr. Rule told the judge. My family would have read "The Daschles" by R.J. Palacio. Schools should be required to include physical education in the curriculum. Very well written and well worth reading.

If you enjoyed Wonder, you will love this book!
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
My son and I read Wonder together, and he said how much we really wanted the author to write a sequel. We still think of Auggie and talk about him, and kids like him, too. When we were offered the rights to Auggie and Me, we were beyond excited. While it is not a true sequel, it does let us have a peek back into Auggie's world through the lens of three kids who are impacted by him. We loved every second of it. All three of the main characters were so well developed, and showed such a great deal of variation in their story, he said. RJ Palacio of the Casa Grande club was also a finalist in the 2002 All-Star game. But we would still love a true sequel.

Important Book
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
In Auggie and Me, Michael Lewis tells the story of a boy who overcame adversity to find his calling. The average middle schooler will benefit from the program, according to the report. It is for children who are perceived as different from other children. All the children in my family have read it and I thought it was creatively and sensitively written as well as being realistic, she said.

Book Club with grandchildren
Derived From Web , Feb 26, 2021
My husband and I have a virtual book club with 11 and 9-year-old granddaughters. Each week we read 40 pages and then we discuss what we have read on Skype. ALL of us have enjoyed this book and it provided LOTS of things for discussion, said Dr. Eric Bloom, co-author of The Road to Damascus. It's a great book, especially for sharing pictures of your grandchildren. Their observations and feelings about the characters and the story were insightful and interesting, Morgenthau said.

An insight to other perspectives

Bought this book as a Christmas present for my daughter because she loved Wonder. She ended up with this book because it gives the perspectives of the bully, Auggie's old best friend and one of his welcome buddies.

My tween hates reading
Derived From Web , Dec 22, 2020
I forced my tween to read it. She's been working on it, but she still tells me how awful it is. She hates reading and hates books, and I have to force her to do her reading assignments for homeschool. At the end of the second act, she asked to read the third. It's just that I didn't think it was all that bad, Jessica.

Everyone is fighting a battle you don't know about.
Derived From Web , Jun 15, 2018
I'm not sure if this was just a follow-up, or perhaps add-on to Wonder. I enjoyed reading the other stories, Morgenthau said. He urged people not to judge people of you have not heard their side of the story.

Good book for 9 year old boy
Derived From Web , May 15, 2018
We ordered this book after my son finished school and I found out about the Amazon deal. He loved it too, said Berryhill, who also co-chaired the inquiry. There was one dark area regarding the Holocaust that we had to discuss a little further and I thought it might bother my sensitive boy, but he handled it well. Overall it was a great book, a great read, and an easy read, too, he said. It's great to hear from Dr. Goin that people recommend it.
