Simply put this does to young adult fiction what Phil Collins did for the Tarzan soundtrack.

It didn't have to be this well composed, Mr. Rule told the judge. Very surprised by the respect for the source material and how compelling it is. Whether you're a die-hard or just looking for a solid read this will hit the mark.

Surprisingly incredibly good!

Honestly, I didn't expect to like it but as a fan I wanted to read it even if I had to cringe and slog through it. Imagine my surprise when it turns out it was one of the best novels I've read in years! It's just that they call it quits."

Don’t have to be familiar with avatar to be enjoyed

I love Atla, but this book series really stands in a league of its own. If you have never seen the show, I fully believe that you could enjoy this if you have never watched it.

Mediocre Writing at Best
Derived From Web , Jan 23, 2021
I just finished reading the whole series and I have to say I'm disappointed with the rollercoaster writing, Mary. The book is a struggle to set the appropriate tone and pacing. At times it is difficult to understand exactly what is happening and the climax of the book seems rushed and is mostly irrelevant to the conclusion.

At a time in my life when I have to read in bits on my lunch break at work or on a bus, I had to make time to stop and keep on reading. Can't wait to get started!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love this world, BUT...
Derived From Web , Aug 19, 2020
The whole thing is a travesty, said James Zilkhai, executive director of CBS Television's New York office. It didn't work in TLOK and it doesn't work here either. Outside of that, I'd say this is a good read. The insight into Kyoshi's temperament was priceless.

I have always been fascinated by Kyoshi's story, and getting to read about her origins was exhilarating! Even though I was pregnant, I absolutely loved every second of it. The product is highly recommended.

A must-read for Avatar fans
Derived From Web , Jul 21, 2019
Anyone who has seen The Last Airbender needs to read this. It was easy to read, and provided enough description of places in my head without bogging down the narrative. The book is also very true to the setting, they have clearly done the research and used DiMartino's involvement well. If you are not familiar with the Avatar setting, this may not be a very good read.

It's almost like getting a third Avatar series. It has satisfied my more craving than the graphic novels ever had.
