The book explores both health and beauty aspects, giving the reader a broad overview of the various practices that can be used by those who follow an Ayurvedic path. It's not an in depth exploration, but rather a broad introduction to a variety of philosophies and rituals that the Ayurvedic practitioners might follow, or that those who are interested in Ayurveda may wish to try. It's an excellent place for those who are interested to start, and for the beginner to try things on for size. You will need to read and explore further, but as an overview, it's a good one.

I couldn't put this book down. I had a notebook by my side writing things as I read them in hopes that I would better retain the amazing information I was reading. This book is so packed with information I know I’ll be referring to it constantly as I move towards an Ayurvedic lifestyle.

This book is changing my life!
Derived From Web , Jan 25, 2020
The book has changed my life. Ms. Weis-Bohlen clearly explains the basics of Ayurveda, including brief personal anecdotes on how this ancient healing modality has made a positive impact on her own life. The book is easy to follow with excellent explanations on the uses of various herbs and ingredients, the purpose of certain practices, the clear modifications for each Dosha, the reason behind every recipe and every aspect on how we can benefit from the principles of Ayurveda. I have purchased several books and am enrolled in a course at Argos. The book outlines easy steps to begin a book by gradually building the reader's confidence. If you are curious about Ayurveda and are looking for a good book, I highly recommend this one.

I'm not interested in magic, and neither is Dr. Goin. It's medicine and witchcraft mixed up!

Decent with some good tips, it could be a great intro for people who really haven't heard of ayurveda previously and is useful for helping one into a new routine. There are just a few recipes left that I had been hoping for.
