My 7yo daughter now LOVES reading... thanks to Babymouse!
My 7 year old daughter never liked reading books, I was worried and tried all the popular chapter books recommended by Amazon and her friends. I decided to get it for her and it was a hit! Since then, I bought the rest of the series on Amazon and can read 2-3 books A DAY, whereas before it was more like 2 books a year! I am so happy ''. I am just happy that she is now reading, while before it was a chore for her. Maybe it is not a chapter book, but it has led her to enjoy reading, what is most important to us!
   Long Live Babymouse!
First of all, I bought this book as a required reading for a library science class. I have not exactly been a fan of graphic novels, but have been able to understand the appeal of some of them in a different class. What a cute series is this? It is definitely one that will get many reluctant readers to read, and that is the purpose of a book : to read! I fell in love with Babymouse and am in the process of acquiring the whole series for my grandkids. Babymouse : Long live Babymouse!
   Like a bad sitcom
Why is this so? This was like listening to a bad sitcom out loud. Like I want to read about a mouse which is concerned about a popular mouse. Well, I'm really disappointed. We are also named for the mouse, who spills food at a party and then goes to TV with a friend? I don 't care how popular is the other mouse ; you treat other people poorly. No excuse for the behavior of babymouses is provided.
   Love this book!
I bought this book for sentimental reasons, it is one of the books I would most often borrow from my local library when I was a kid, and it still holds. It teaches great lessons about friendship, loyalty and being yourself. Makes a great gift and a fairly easy read for first graders and up.
   Perfect for 7 year old.
This was a big hit with my 7 - year old niece.
   2nd grader approved
My 2nd grader is intimidated by chapter books and this is the perfect bridge to chapter books.
