A Newsweek Best Graphic Novel of the Year. The impossible has happened: The Joker has become a.hero?

The critically acclaimed Batman: White Knight gets a new deluxe treatment. Quickly becoming a classic Batman story, Batman: White Knight follows the transformation of The Joker into a sane citizen of Gotham: Jack Napier. After reconciling with his long-suffering partner, Harley Quinn, he sets in motion a carefully plotted campaign to discredit the one person whom he views as Gotham City's true enemy: Batman.

Napier's crusade exposes a decades-long history of corruption within the Gotham City Police Department and transforms Napier into a city councilman and civic hero. But when the sins of his past return to threaten everything that he has accomplished, the distinctions between savior and destroyer begin to break down for both The Joker and Batman alike--and with them any hope for Gotham's future.

Writer and artist Sean Murphy delivers an extraordinary examination of comics' greatest antagonists in Batman: White Knight, exploring justice, corruption, activism and the darkest depths of mental illness. Collecting the acclaimed eight-issue miniseries, including sketches and scripts as well as Sean Murphy's orginal pencils. This stunning graphic novel also marks the debut of the DC Black Label imprint, which features classic DC characters in all-new, standalone stories written and illustrated by world-class authors and artists.

   Bent book
I've been trying for two days to unbend without causing any damage to the chair.

Binding is same as paperback. Disappointing.
One of my all time favorite Batman stories. Print is good, I like the larger format but the binding is the exact same as the paperback. It should come with better binding, Mr. Dhaliwal said.

   Solid, but a little overrated.
What would have been an average comic book run had Miller not stepped aside? Compared with most of what the big two releases have done with regards to marketing, this is a masterpiece.

   Amazing Batman comic book
It's been years since I last purchased a Batman comic, and I was not disappointed, but rather impressed, said the writer of the book. It's a great story, but it's the artwork that I love the most.

Everything you could want in a stand-alone Batman story.
Sean Murphy and Hugo Weaving bring us this fresh, and out of canon, take on the streets of Gotham. The Joker, played by Joaquin Phoenix, slides into his same identity as the real Jack Napier. Smashing skulls and razor blades aside, Napier takes to dismantling his enemies with due process. Riots break out in several cities across the world. The real motive behind Schaerbeek's death is a secret. In "White Knight," Detective Bullock shows why Batman is such a popular character. I dig the way Murphy played with character and costume here, especially his redesign of Batgirl. Like many YA novels, White Knight is a book for a mature audience with its share of violence, language and sexual themes.

   Modern classic!
This is one of the best Batman stories there is. It has some plot holes, but it's so fun and different that they don't matter, Tunick said. I would recommend this book to any Batman fan. This is an alternate universe story.

Book is great, cover was a bit bent
The front was bent and it wasn't wrapped like other novels. For the price, I'm still happy with my purchase.

   A must read
What's more, all the issues are in one place. Great story, said Blair. It's great art, too, I already have a few.

   Role Reversal!
I think that was truly unique and really dynamic, too. It was great to be back home, said Blair. It's a double-feature set in the 1920s, with the Riddler dressed as the Super-criminal and the Joker played by Vincent D'Onofrio. The story and the art are extremely well done, and I found the entire book very enjoyable, Mr. D. Smith said. Although the story takes place in an alternate reality set between the 1960s and present day, it was a very fresh perspective on the relationship that Batman and the Joker shared with each other. Now I'll be looking for more work by the author, and I certainly recommend this book to the fans out there. It was cool to see such a reversal role, and make this a book worth reading, Eisenberg said. It's a job well done, said Dr. Steve Draeger, director of NASA's Ames Research Center in California.

Complete treats and treasures to the fans of Batman and Joker
This is how DC starts their new Black Label. I devoured this book in 2 sittings and loved looking over the title to see the excellent art and detail. Kinda weird that The Joker's cell looks like my work office, Bruno says.
