These are the books that kids will treasure. There are so many great stories to tell, even if they are short. My grandkids just LOVED the whole series when they were little so when I found this boxed set of little board books I included it in a basket of books for a baby shower gift. It's great to be back with family, said Gillian. It was a blast, said Blair.

What a great story line, said Blair. It's great to read to my 2-year-old. Really good pictures, Mr. Caramore said. My son absolutely LOVES them, said his mom. They are all time favorites of ours. My daughter's love of literature stemmed from these books, her mom said. Though often criticized for being too slow, the cadence and rhymes are a joy to read and hear. My daughter can recite the entire story from cover to cover. Each book teaches a lesson about being kind and accepting with an underlying theme that friends come in all shapes, sizes and dispositions. The appeal of the book is also enhanced by the fact that the artist creates a truly unique work of art.

It's a master piece of drivel, but Bear's New Friend and Bear Wants More are just as good. DISAPPOINTMENT. Will absolutely buy all the Bear Hugs stuff. Will update this site with new posts once reviewed.

Our almost three-year-old picks the Bear Books every day from our collection of hundreds of kid's books. Ms Hughes is delighted by the detailed artwork accompanying the rhythm-and-rhyme driven story lines. As a time-long literature teacher, I appreciate that the stories aren't written in a condescending manner while still reinforcing the values of friendship, sharing, and helping, he said. The clever and witty repetition has our daughter anticipating and shouting the end rhymes. Get them all and you'll find yourself grabbing them up and laughing every time.

Just about everything about Friends is adorable. It's a great read, and something the 2 year old really understands. The pictures give us lots to talk about, Mr. Dhaliwal said. The board books are a good quality and have held up well so far, he said.
