So we now have all the Bear books!!! She can now read by herself and we enjoy reading them together at bedtime. I love the colorful flow of these stories and she loves the lyrical pictures and the fun stories.

We love the rhyme scheme of the Bear books - this collection is one that I am willing to read again and again. Bear Can 't Sleep is another adorable story about Bear's friends coming to rescue. This was a gift for my six-year-old, but my older children also enjoy these books.

If you are not reading these books to your children, you are missing out! There is a whole series of Bear Snores On, Bear Feels Sick, Bear's New Friend and they are all awesome. We love the characters. These are books that will last in their hearts a lifetime.

Another great bear book

My 2 and 4 year-olds both love the bear books. Our four year old has been fighting with falling asleep and this seemed like a great addition to our library. Yes, as other reviews say, it is very similar to other bear books, but isn 't the beauty of it? My children don 't care that it is similar.

They are beautiful stories with cute illustrations. This book did not meet the expectations. It's just like the bear snores, only the bear is awake and his friends are sleeping. Not worth having if you already have bear snores. That said, I hope Karma continues to write because we enjoy her books.

Love Karma Wilson's Bear stories

I bought this for my 4 year old grandson, who loves Bear and his friends. We are collecting the entire series... we started with board books when he was quite tiny and now we are purchasing the hardcovers. These are beautiful stories of animal friends, with beautiful illustrations by Jane Chapman. Having seen Bear snore and stay for Christmas, we see Bear unable to sleep when he should be hibernating.

Let me start by saying that we LOVE the books of Karma Wilson and Jane Chapman. They are a staple in our house. It is super cute if you don 't read both books all the time, but if I were picky, I would say that a new book should be a completely new story with new pictures and new words and phrases. Our children still like it probably.

Bear books rule. They are hands down winners. Regardless of what he does, poor bear still can t sleep! His animal friends wander bit by bit, and they are all sympathetic and have different remedies, but no luck with snoozing. Bear finally offers to tell his pals a story, and guess what happens at the end? Chapman provides warm, inviting pictures that make Bear's cave soft, friendly and inviting. And who knew that animals could have such a variety of expressions of concern and puzzlement? This is a book that your children will want to read over and over again, and will likely chime each time you come to the key phrase.
