I have been collecting children's picture books for a long time. The Bear books are some of the best ever written. Bear Can't Wait is a good book for young children to start learning the basics of rhyming words. The repetition of the phrase "Bear can't wait" gives young people an opportunity to participate in the story. The illustrations by Jane Chapman bring the story to life and the characters are so sweet and concerned for each other that they can be seen in their facial expressions. Bear Can't Wait is one of the books in the Bear book series that I highly recommend. For sure, five stars.

Better than expected! I was expecting a small board book, but got a nice hard covered book and the story is just as cute as all the books. My preschoolers love this one just as much as the others.

My toddler twins love bears. We read "Bear Can't Wait" and "Bear wants more" at night and often at nap time. The rhythm and rhyme of the Bear books make them my favorites to read aloud. The illustrations are very cute.
