board book is small but packs a big punch
i bought this for a 2.5 year old boy who loves bear, while the board book version is small, it is nice & solid and shouod stand up to pleanty of abuse from this rough 'tumble boy. The story is sweet & talks about a new member of the Bear's friends crew having a hard time overcoming his shyness to meet his new neighbors, which is great to discuss with young kiddos when they are in their hide behind mommy's legs '' stage. i personally enjoy reading the Bear wants more '' book aloud a little more as far as literary enjoyment goes for the parent, but this one actually has a message, so that i feel better about reading it to him.

   the Bear ROCKS!
We borrowed The Bear Snores On'' by Karma Wilson from the public library and fell in love with Bear and his friends. BEAR's new friend doesn 't disappoint. My 2.5 year old son loves bear books... and anything by Wilson and so does his mama.

   Beautiful little book ...
I love the illustrations, but was unable to purchase enough of the story before reading it. The text is rather repetitive and some annoying and repetitive. But did notice that there is a Bear series that looks like they had some cute stories that could be other. I '' try another...

   Love Bear books
All I can do is to teach this for my daughter, who is a teacher. We have had bear books on our bookshelf for years. Now they are moved to stories for their nieces and nephews.

My kid thought it was boring
We have a lot of Bear books, but my 3 yo thought this one was dumb and never wants to read it. Bear wants to be ick and Bear feels more entertaining.
