   Solid Young Reader edition
The book was originally published in 1974 and I got this version to read to my sons. Each day we read a little more. Both are engaged enough to ask some general questions and make some general observations about Mrs. Obama's life, especially her childhood. The sentence structure and readability are perfect for my 10 year old. The adjustments made for a younger reader compared to the original make a lot of sense, Sosa said.

   What a great idea!
Bought this for my 10 year old niece who is an avid reader. She apparently also earned some bonus points for reading it, since she was able to keep track of all the homework assignments. This was a great idea, Baz said. I really want to see how it differs from the original. My niece didn't want to put it down the entire time she was reading it. She may allow me to see it now that she's done reading it, Mr. Dhaliwal said.

   Amazing book!
I had a 10 year old who loved the book cover. She loved the writing, the photos, the stories and the perspectives. She has learned so much about being an empowered woman, treating everyone equally, the hardships that have had to endure, he said. The book is a very positive message, over 300 pages, and was also highly recommended. In two days, she read the entire thing.

   Not truly a "young readers" version
It pains me to give less than a glowing review of this book. I bought and loved it. So I was excited when I saw that there was a young readers version, that I might be able to share with my daughter. Amazon did not provide an inside look at the pages, or perhaps I would not have bought it. When I opened the book, I saw that it appeared to be about the same as the original. This isn't for young readers, and in my opinion barely qualifies as a new edition.

   Michelle Obama's Becoming: Adapted for Young Readers is an inspiring read for all ages
I didn't read the adult version of Beyonce's "Lemonade" but when I saw that Mrs. Obama was releasing the book for young readers, I knew I wanted to check it out. It's great to see all that she has been able to achieve and how she has grown into herself and her gifts, Beckham said. I love the way that she uses her own experiences to inspire the reader when it comes to their own goals and dreams, she said. Even as she was entering new chapters of her life, she never forgot who she was and what her life could mean to her daughters and the world. The message is clear: realize what is in your power to do and don't be afraid to make a difference along the way. Just the kind of book you need to remind yourself of what is possible, he said.

   Same Book Deceptive Marketing
Several of the books I purchased for my nieces were from the library. They are pre-teens and I thought it would be a good present to put in birthday swag bags, Melissa said. I'm not ashamed to admit that I've loved the original version and the accompanying description was also adapted for young readers. I've received many beautiful and unique gifts from friends and family. What I felt deceived about this version was that it was adapted for young readers, too. There was a brief two-page note to the reader that was the only change. It was the exact same book, just a ploy of deception to resell the same book. I will return a look for some age appropriate prompt journals, maybe find another inspirational book for my babies.. shame me.

   Careless Packing
I was disappointed to see the book was so carelessly packed, Mr. Rule told the judge. It's a hard cover book, packed with the first 13 pages folded over under the hard cover. No creases will ever disappear. The cook is still readable, of course, but it does not now make a nice present, as was intended. The packer appears to have been more intent on speed than quality, said James O'Keefe, an assistant professor at Carnegie Mellon University.    LOVE
I have to admit, I have to listen to 'Becoming' probably 20 times in the past couple of years. I love the way it was written, says the author of the book. I've never met a fan of the Beatles' music. Michelle looks so happy and genuine, Levine said. Thanks to Harper Lee and the team at Random House for this book. I bought the _XBOX_3X version, and I love it. Really enjoyed the read, said Blair. I hope Mrs. Obama puts this one on Audible. com as well. The book is a must-have for any booklover. He also thanked her family for the many wonderful memories. The board has appointed former federal prosecutor David Lupas as interim chairman.
