Adorable book, but difficult to read text

Though I have no complaints with the book's design, I would have liked to see more contrast, which makes reading in anything other than bright light difficult. It's a bedtime book, so I try to keep the room fairly dimly lit, but bright enough to read a book. It takes a lot of courage to get through this one. If you're fine with reading in bright rooms, it's great.
