   Less Bedtime Drama
Here bedtime is always pretty dramatic with a 2 year old. We love Verdick's other books, and thought we'd give this one a try. We incorporated it into our nighttime routine and repeat some of the phrases as we take the toddler to bed each night. I love all these books!

   Simple and Cute
Great tool for kids who need a social or visual story to understand what is happening and what to do.

A snack right before bedtime?

Beautiful book, simple relaxing story, black characters! Love it
My toddler and I love this book for the beautiful story focused on bedtime fortunes and the happy, soothing representation of black children. He read most of the pages quickly and often chooses to memorize this before bed.

My 3 year old loves this book!
We decided to get this book on a whim, as she had responded positively to the books for babies. She loves to read this book at bedtime and now quotes it during our bedtime routine. When it is time to get in bed, she will tell me that I do my best growing when I sleep. I need my rest, we subsequently purchased other children's books with success.

   My son loves this book!
He picks it almost every night for bedtime. I love that it is a book with a black family that has nothing to do with being black.

   Great for kids.
I had initially thought of returning the book because our bedtime routine is slightly different than what is presented in the book. But before I could return, my 2 year old had already developed an interest in this book and hence I decided to keep it.

   Short book
I did not realize that this was a shortened version of the book. It is still fine in concept, and I have always read it... But not sure whether it has been the most helpful.

I like reading it to my son and kind of use ...
It is a sweet book and includes a routine at bedtime. I like to read it to my son and use it as a checklist. First they have a snack, then bath, then pajamas, brush their teeth, read a book, backrubs, hugs, and then go to sleep. The last part is very nice because it explains why we sleep to grow up, to be smarter and happy. I also recommend taking naptime from this same series.
