This was amazing book I went on the journey. I was with Rill and Camilla , Lark. I was I on that shanty boat. And I was on that Mississippi River. Page after page.wonderful book and Lisa Wingate what a writer .

This book is a best seller for a reason -it is mesmerizing. After finishing it I researched the kidnap/adoption business of the time and was thunderstruck with what I found. Any historical fiction that makes the reader continue research is worth reading, and researching.
