   Upside down/backwards book
I was so excited to check out this book, Melissa. When I opened the front cover and flipped a few pages, I found that I was looking at the upside pages of the end of the book. If you flip it over to the back cover and rotate it around do the bottom of the back cover is on the top. Before sending any more books, you might want to check out this.

   Beautiful and Inspiring
He said he never considered the Bible to be "dry and boring." Then I heard Ruth and had to look her up on social media, and WOW! Biblical truths were represented in such a beautiful and emotional way that reached me in a way that was unlike anything else, he said. In Experiencing Becoming, you will find the most beautiful truths presented in such a sweet and gentle way that it will encourage your soul in ways you can't imagine. It's a book that not only will you have a list of people you can't wait to share it with, but will become a treasured piece that mothers can pass on to daughter, grandmothers to grandchildren and sister to sister. There is not a single person I can't imagine recommending this book, knowing that they will be better off at the other end of it. Great customer service, said Dr. Simon Williams, director of the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

   Thoughtful and Beautiful
He invites us to look deeper into our lives, our days and see beyond the surface. It encourages us to focus on Jesus, behold, become more like Him, and to give contemplative thought to directing our hearts in channels flowing in this direction. The beautiful artwork along with the thoughtful words renews, revives, and refreshes, he said. This book invites us to sit and savor and meditate for our hearts and souls to engage in this work of being. A heart focused on the faithfulness of Christ cannot lose heart in following His example, he writes. This book makes a beautiful gift book and it's so very lovely paired with Ruth Chou Simons first book, Gracelaced. All opinions are mine and any other publisher's.

   Beautiful and challenging
We are being transformed into His likeness by looking at who He is. The pages of this book are gorgeously painted images of pomegranates, sweet peas, beetles and butterflies, hummingbirds and cranes. It's just that the illusionists think it's pretty. Ruth Chou issues a call to worship, an invitation to slow down, draw near and behold our Creator and His creation. The book is organized as couplets of beingheld by God and then becoming transformed by Him. The second book, The Art of Painting, is a beautiful collection of paintings with practical suggestions on how to put this into practice. Through both Ruth's words and art, you will be encouraged and challenged as you embark on the journey of practicing the art of worship.

   Beautiful and Instructive
Beholding and Becoming is a beautiful book full of the two things I look forward to and expect to find from Ruth Chou Simons—her words that are encouraging, reflective and informed by her study and understanding of God's Word and her watercolor artwork that is indeed a joy to behold. Each chapter includes an invitation to behold and then become, along with some useful ideas to put these two together. Ruth's work graces several rooms in my home. The book's cover reveals a young woman in a "T" pose, while the artist's work is both familiar and fresh. I look forward to gifting this book to friends and family in the coming months, says Hachette. If you're looking for a book about the Christian life that feels like you're having a conversation with a beloved friend who speaks the truth in love, then this is the book for you.

Learn to Love What Must Be Done
Ruth Simons is truly captivated by God, His creations, and his majesty, and I am drawn to her exquisite and bold artwork in her writings. In this book, I am reminded of how much God's Provision in the Unremarkable and Learn to Love What Must Be Done speaks volumes to my weary and worn Wife, Mom, and Grandmother life. This book is a much needed reminder that I am by God and that through Him I gain a new perspective and joy for what must be completed, he wrote. If you are looking for a unique gift, this is the book for you.

Beauty and real life on every praising page.
Beholding and Becoming is filled with some of my favorite things, blackberries, thistles and peonies, and love for our God who made them all in delightful detail, she writes. Ruth paints with words and watercolors how touchable worship can be in everyday life. There are simple prompts on full color pages in each chapter for ways to behold your people and this wild world—and not only in its beauty, but in its tears as well. As soon as I reached the last praising page, I began again, this time more slowly in awe of my ordinary and wonderful life, and wonder about yours, too. In her book, Ruth will remind you just how near is the One who loves us fiercely, tenderly, truly.

   Easy, Peaceful, Beauty-filled Read
Simply put, Becoming is a gorgeous book. I absolutely love how Ruth Chou portrays herself as an image-bearing artist who points to the glory of God, Raymond said. Scripture, poetry, quotes and her intricate watercolor paintings are interspersed throughout the book, which makes for an easy, peaceful, beauty-filled read. I actually found myself reading a chapter at a time, almost utilizing it as a devotional book as it's equally full of beauty, her humble testimony and soft nudges to facilitate change. In this current day we are truly missing the art of beholding, and this book gently encourages us to slow down, see how God displays His glory through creation, and use our everyday moments to worship Him.
