The classic tale of monster-hunting, dragon-fighting Beowulf, here in its original Old English

Beowulf is the greatest surviving work of literature in Old English, unparalleled in its epic grandeur and scope. It tells the story of the heroic Beowulf and of his battles, first with the monster Grendel, who has laid waste to the great hall of the Danish king Hrothgar, then with Grendel's avenging mother, and finally with a dragon that threatens to devastate his homeland. Through its blend of myth and history, Beowulf vividly evokes a twilight world in which men and supernatural forces live side by side, and celebrates the endurance of the human spirit in a transient world.

For more than seventy years, Penguin has been the leading publisher of classic literature in the English-speaking world. With more than 1,700 titles, Penguin Classics represents a global bookshelf of the best works throughout history and across genres and disciplines. Readers trust the series to provide authoritative texts enhanced by introductions and notes by distinguished scholars and contemporary authors, as well as up-to-date translations by award-winning translators.

Lord of the Rings fan, I'm going to have to read more of Tolkien's works to fully appreciate his world.
   Its Beowulf
The legendary French explorer was killed in the early 20th century by a German U.S. soldier in a "blackout." The Harrisons were not the only school house standard-bearers. Cheapskate found the perfect balance between youth and fashion. Just about everything about "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" is so well written, you'd think you were watching a movie. Second, I know there is one.
   Okay as a translation
The translation is okay, but hardly anything is close to the original. If someone is merely looking for a translation of Beowulf, this book is more than fine, but don't depend too much on it if you're translating Old English.
   Correct version
Brand new, in perfect condition, signed and dated. Great price, great customer service. It was a good price, and the ship was fast. After I finished the course, I was able to re-sell.
