Thanks to Berserk for making me a big fan
I have been reading comic books with colors ever since I was a child. I recently noticed the Manga trend and thought I would give it a try, but I was amazed at how this graphic novel drew me in. The crisp white pages make the contrast of black drawings even more amazing, and the lack of colors made me focus more on the physical aspects of the story. I would not allow a child under the age of 18 to read this since it has sexual depictions and some gore. The main character behavior is fun for adults but not good for a child that is easily influenced. Thanks to Kentaro Miura, I now own all the Berserk editions. It is!

A Fantasy Epic that stands among the greats of the genre
I' ve never thought of myself as a fan of either of those shows, until I saw this magincificent series. The 2012 movies from the Golden Age story arcs were addictive. I was told to read the Manga and order the leatherbound volumes for myself as a birthday gift. It was worth it. The Manga is well written and has amazing artwork. I purchased the rest of the regular format books in the series to continue reading, and I plan to buy new volumes of theDeluxe set just for my collection. Guts is one of the great heroes of fantasy and sword and sorcery fiction like Elric of Melnibone and Lord of the Rings.

Like a whole new experience with the larger page size.
I haven't looked at the eclipse in a decade. The size and detail on the pages made it even worse than I remembered. You will be happy! The Lost Children Arc is also included in this.

   Berserker
The binding, cover, and pages look perfect. The previous one I ordered had a lot of glue on the pages. If you can handle depictions of death, rape and gore, then this is a good read. I'm worried about not having enough space if I want to own them all because they' re so big and don't fit on my bookshelf.

Good read, but there seems to be errors on the spine.
I am sad that my copy seemed to have a mistake on the spine, but it was a great series. The BERSERK logo is off- center in book 5 and it really upsets me because I love having these type of books on display. I'm not sure if it was my copy or not, but if you want to see it yourself, you can either buy it from a retail shop or do some research to see if it's a common type of error. I'm most likely going to no longer be ordering from Amazon because of this. When put next to the other volumes, this error does stand out. For a collector item that retails for $50, this type of error should not be acceptable.

   Enjoy this lovely grimoire
The skull knight is facing off with Zodd in the beginning of the book. This is an absolute unit. Violence is spot on without being offensive. A purchase for anyone who wants to learn more about the lore and the other books. The pages feel good on your fingers, the leather covering looks convincing, and the embossed Brand is a nice detail that is often overlooked. The stickers peel off without any problems. You must have the other four books because you are looking at volume 5.

Great addition to the bookshelf with minor gripe
The pages feel sturdy and the cover is heavy duty. The lettering on the spine is slanted to the side.

amazing conclusion to an amazing arc
One of the best arcs of berserk was concluded in volume 5.
