Book Overview

An ordinary bubble may seem pretty harmless to you. To the monsters of La La Land, however, a fragile, shimmering bubble is an object of terror, and when the frightening habits of bubbles are detailed by a fear-mongering monster, Yerbert, Froofle, and Wumpus run away and cry. But with encouragement from the narrator and from readers--Go on, Wumpus, you can do it. (Tell Wumpus he can do it.)--the three learn to confront their fears and triumph over the bubbles An original, offbeat, and giggle-inducing take on conquering fears from the New York Times best-selling team responsible for the groundbreaking Those Darn Squirrels books.

   Great pictures and fun text
His teacher also loved her. Not too much text per page, either, so it is not too much of a strain to read aloud.

A hit with my 3-year-old son
My 3-year-old son loved Kramps Love Tacos '' so much he asked if we could find other books by the same authorillustrator duo. He picked this one out and is one of our favorite books for reading before naps or bedtime. The story is charming and easily tolerable and the illustrations are as fun. I think that this will be kept for years to come in our collection.

Wonderful resource for teaching "Don't believe everything you read".
The monsters are told that bubbles are dangerous and the believers are the bubble expert. After all, he wrote a book about the dangers of bubbles...

   A new favorite
We love this book - it is just the right amount of silly. It's one of my husband and I don 't mind reading with the kids over and over again, and the illustrations are great too. My son named his favorite large stuffed dinosaur, Wumpus.

   Too cute!
This book was funny and well written. The same author of Dragons Love Tacos has created an adorable book that children will love.

   A nice book
An interesting plot and nice illustrations, with some humor and a lesson mixed in.

My least favorite Rubin/Salmieri book. :/
Our family loves this author, the series The Dragons Love Tacos and our favorite, the Secret Pizza Party. Witty and downright hilarious... but this book? Meh's gang is in the same room. It lacks the same energy and contagion as the others.

This is an adorable story that my preschool class loved
I have encouraged their participation in talking to the monsters. So glad I bought it!

The kid's love it as much as I do and we've already read it 6 times on the first day of owning it.
