   The Funniest One Yet! One Big Criticism, though...
Nate has never failed to impress me. All the books are hilarious downright, and this was no exception. Francis and Teddy are the perfect additions to Nate's crazy antics, and other characters like Jenny, Gina and Chester add to the humor and wit. With that said, this would have been a five-star review if not for one thing that continually occurs in Big Nate books, Lincoln Pierce uses the same ideas over and over again! In some parts of the books he uses small plot points that he's USED BEFORE, just changes a few important details. And even worse, there were several recurring comics! Essentially, he is writing the same over and over with a different title! I am disappointed with this big aspect of Pierce's books because it ruined what would have been a rave review.

   Our kid LOVES these books
He received four more for Christmas and next week will receive a reading award in his class. He will ask to go to bed 30 minutes early so that he can read. We are extremely pleased, Needles to say.

   My 9 year old great granddaughter likes this book, but ...
I just don't care about it. I call it old-fashioned. Today, the kids think that it is okay. But I do not care about the attitude of it all. I am saying that we want our children to read no matter what the possible outcome of their understanding of what is acceptable behavior.

I came to the conclusion that I don 't like the character Bid Nate. Kid's don't learn from Nate too many nice things.

So good it is hard to explain some of the things I liked about this book : When Nate began with Thanksgiving dinner Turkey, please make some more big Nate books Lincoln Pierce. I love the big Nate books by Lincoln Pierce.
