   ok but lots of basketball
My 11 year old loved the book. She was annoyed at the amount of basketball in the book, even though she is more a tomboy than a girl. Even though the name is big, there might be too much ball for your child. She liked all the books.

   Funny
Our grandson is 10 years old and he loves this books. They bring back memories of growing up and going to school. It's very funny and real.

   Christmas Gift
I was able to give the book to my grandson before Christmas. The original box it was shipped in still holds it.

Lacking humor and personality compared to the rest of the series. Felt rushed.
The book was rushed and not up to par. The series was originally enjoyable but there were no family hijinks or dynamics that made it enjoyable. It was different from the rest of the series written by a different author. Greg lost basketball games one after another. The book ended on a weak note and seemed unfinished. I flipped to the last page and realized that it was the end of the series. We were excited for the release. We usually laugh out loud when we read about Greg heffley, but there was no laughing during this book. The author of this series, Jeff Kinney, is a talented and funny author, but it almost felt like it was written by someone else.

   Worthy addition to the series.
Over 250 million books were sold. The cover proclaims something. Yeah, and 16 of them are mine. I know, kid's book. You will get a kick out of this one if you remember your middle school years and have a sense of humor. If sports wasn't your thing in those days. As usual, it was entertaining.

   A kid's favorite
My son started and finished this book on the day it arrived. He was so excited when it arrived that he couldn't wait. He wants his friends to read it as he claims it's the best one yet.

Not as good as any of the other books
The author is entertaining but predictable. There are more pictures in this book. There are more pictures and less words. The next one should be better.

   As good as ever
I played basketball in elementary school and it was fun. I think I enjoyed this one more than some of the other books I've read recently, maybe for that reason. It's nice to see some familiar faces who haven't been seen in years. The story is very satisfying, but it lacks some of the core characters from Greg's family.

   I love it,
I have bought every one of them and this is probably one of the least favorite. Another review mentioned the repetiveness. I don't like that part but where is he? ?

   Good book
I got this book at 220 AM. I was annoyed by Greg's mom but it was good. A 4 and a half stars.
