Bird and Squirrel are back and ready for adventure
After Bird and Squirrel crash land in the South Pole during a raging blizzard, a penguin named Sakari thinks Bird has come to rid her village of a hungry Killer Whale. But when Squirrel finds out that Bird will actually be fed to the Killer Whale as a sacrifice, they hatch a crazy plan to escape. With a good timing, a little luck, and help from Sakari, they just might make it out alive. Or they might end up as whale food

Great to get younger children interested in reading
For my 4 year old, excellent fun book. This book is well illustrated with a good time story. It is definitely child appropriate. My son loves to go with it and sit on his own through all the pages. He is beginning to ask about the words and is now interested in learning how to read. Amazing for a rambunctious child who can 't still sit.

   So funny for every age
We bought all the bird and squirrels for our children, boys 6 and 8, but then we loved them and our friends as well - and we bought many more copies as gifts for children of all ages. Comic style, great storyline, and fun graphics!

   Kids' review
I like how the bird is super energetic and willing to take big risks and the main goal of the squirrel is to survive, but although they are so different, they are friends. I recommend for children ages 4 -- 9.

Good books for reluctant readers Love these!
This is a marvelous book for reluctant readers. The story is about a kindred bird and squirrel / miscarriages and her odd adventures. It was very cute and funny. Our first lending library, Book Mobile, suggested the local book to my son. He has a learning disability and is a low level for reading comprehension. I am more than happy to give him books that he will read. If he finds a book that he likes, he read it many times over, which is good for comprehension and fluency. This series is all graphic - novel style. I am buying all 4 books. My son has read them over and over again. Still some of his favorites are.

   Great series!
This purchase was made at my 15th year old granddaughter's request for her 10 year old. This is her favorite book series, and she was very kind and relaxed.

Our 3 Boys love the Bird and Squirrel series - however this particular ...
Our 3 boys love the Bird and Squirrel series, but this particular one is their favourite. They used to have the paper version and I downloaded the kindle version recently and still love it. As a parent, I also don 't mind reading it over and over again to them ; I can 't say anything about alot of other books that they like!

My 4 yo & 6 yo kids love these books
My 4 yo and 6 yo children love these books! It is a great way to get children interested in reading as they can clearly connect a picture to the words in that frame. And the stories are interesting, creative and fun to keep their attention for many nights. Older children will absolutely enjoy them as well. It is hard to find a graphic novel appropriate for younger children, which is what I was looking for, and this series of Bird and Squirrel books is a hit in this family!
