A Must Read For Any Knicks Fan!

Born in 1987 and became a Knicks around '93, so I regard this team of the 90s in high regard and have grown a bigger appreciation for them after all the turmoil since then. I thought I knew all the stories by searching the web, but apparently I knew nothing. This book even reached my interest. What was so many what ifs, but what was? It was a great time in the history of the NY Knicks that took many by surprise. So happy to have read this book and recommend it to any other Knicks, NBA or sports fan out there!

Must Read for Knicks' Fans
Derived From Web , Jan 27, 2022
Hardcore Knicks fans recognize that Chris Herring is the GOAT of modern game writers for the Knicks, combining an acute understanding of the modern game and its analytics with an appreciation for its history and stellar journalistic chops. The clearly deep diving and diving is what takes this book beyond a mere rehashing of the last era that the Knicks were contenders for the championship into the gestalt of this beloved franchise. Herring alternates a narrative of this era, with in-depth revelations about the key people, players, coaches, front office and owner, and the combination of presenting revelations that were not known before, while we wait for this book to climb back to where it once was.

A fantastic read

This book is a real page turner. Well written with crisp details, I felt transported to the 90s. The background stories behind the players and personnel was fascinating in helping to understand the personalities, behavior on the court and key decisions that were made. So many details that came to light about Riley, management and ownership led me to really wonder about that Era. This is one of the best sports books I have ever read in years. I hope Herring writes more books.

What A Ride!

Tremendous history and so well written. Here there is a crispness and clarity that brings these events to life truly. Richly rewarding read, richly rewarding. The personalities crackle with a realistic insider view that is very rare in sports books. Trey tables and seat backs in full upright position folks as the good, bad and ugly rocks a real bonafide page turner. - 5 enthusiastic stars highly recommended!
