   More far fetched than usual
The Boxcar Children book was written by the original author. This one is a little hard to come by. Our family still liked it.

My daughter wants to solve her own mysteries after reading many of the Boxcar Children Mysteries. She should write her own book. ?

A cute, but fairly uneventful read
I like The Boxcar Children series, but this book was a bit disappointing. For a story about a deserted island, it should have been more exciting. It was cute but lacked oomph. I will continue to read this series because it was a big part of my childhood! Although' shrinking' Violet is my favorite character, Benny is a lot of fun.
