   Highly Recommend
We started with the Bob Books set 1 and my daughter loved them. We were ready to continue reading, but not ready for so many new challenges. My daughter loves this set because it stays true to the short vowel reading she knows and includes some new things. We like the fact that it is a shorter book, and that it gives her a sense of accomplishment, and it doesn't give away the words in the pictures that some books do. This is the right step for a new reader.

   Great for beginning readers
If your child knows all the sounds of the basic 26 letters of the alphabet, he or she can most likely read all of the books in this packet. These are easy to read. The picture adds to the text but does not distract from the purpose of the book. The short stories are easy to read. They are entertaining and have a bit of something off beat in them. My son was four years old when he started reading on his own. He was given success in a way that other books couldn't. He was able to hear and read the words. He did not get lost jumping from line to line because there was only one line on the page. They were not boring like the other books my mother had. Enjoy it. Every penny is worth it.

We finished set 1 and I was worried he would be bored partway through set 2
My son is four years old. We finished set 1 and I was worried that he would be bored by the end of set 2. He has been more excited about reading the books, which I think stems from his sense of accomplishment as things have suddenly clicked on how to sound out words. He wants to show off his talent by reading the next book. I was worried that he was learning how to sound out the words from the books, but they were cleverly done and he has been learning how to sound out the words for a long time. We are on book 6 of the second set and he is reading on his own. Bob Books is recommended to all parents of 3-4 year olds.

Simply the best series of books to help your children start reading
What can I say? The best books for your children to start reading. You will be amazed at how quickly they pick up words, and how much they can read by the end of the second book. You will want to use these books again and again with the children in your care. The books are never lost or tattered, and you can teach children to read using your smart phone, which is why the Kindle edition works well. Don't beat that.

Lifesaver- My kindergartner reads with confidence
The books are amazing. My 6 year old missed a lot of school. Kindergarten is very important. I was worried about her reading skills. The books take the cake. They are lifesavers. My girl was happy to read again. She reads with confidence. The back of the books have words written on them. We always talk about word families. I ordered Set 2 to start. Life saver. !

   Great confidence booster
My child lacks confidence in reading and Bob Books is helping him. I should have bought them sooner.

Not available for use on kindle paperwhite
I wish I had known that the kindle version is not available on my paperwhite. I bought the first set of BOB books for kindle and they were fine, but for some reason, they can't be downloaded on my device and I need to use a phone or tablets. There's no way to return a purchase. I wouldn't have bought it if I had known I couldn't use a purchase on a kindle.

   Love Love Love!
My daughter is in Pre-k and loves reading these books. He tried to keep her brain busy with learning to read because she is a little ahead in school. We bought the second box of the BOB books and she is very fond of them. She likes the fact that most of the words are easy sight and she doesn't need much help getting through the book. The books are very short and simple but get harder as you get through the box and then the next box in the set would be even harder to keep up with. This is the second box I have purchased and I am sure we will buy the rest of the set as she progresses.

Teaching your little one to read? Buy these there great!
These books are the best. I bought these for my two children as they were learning to read. Didn't hesitate to buy again with my third child. These are must haves. I started my children on the Beginning Readers set 1. It is worth it to see the pride in learning.

   Great little set!
The series was a great success. Our daughter is getting a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. We did Set 1 before that. She read 10 of the 12 book series last night. She was so proud that it filled her with confidence, but on the other hand. I ordered the next set immediately. Not sure if there was overlap with Set 1. There were no duplicate boxes of Stage 1 Set 1 and Stage 2 Set 2.
