Basic summary of the school year
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
I use for home study. They'll do each skill in school once. I don't know how useful this is as a supplement for regular school, but if you want to review each thing once it is done, it would be good. It helps to see what areas your child needs to improve. They got it if they went through a page quickly. If they struggle, you can find an online game or app that will help them improve.

Great

We have the 3rd version of the book but haven't used it yet as we are still working on the summer version. We probably won't use it until August but I'm sure it will be just as great.

Makes Learning Fun
Derived From Web , May 25, 2020
We have been using this book and a Common Core math book to help our son keep up. The Common Core book isn't fun for either of us. There are no correct answer pages in the back of the examples. The book is not the same. Our son looks forward to jumping in when he finishes a section and there are stickers on his certificate of completion. There are several sections that cover many different subjects. The correct answers are in the back of the book to check his work. I know that. I should not have to look back at it. It is nice to know that it is there.

I like this book. It has a lot of work to do to keep my daughter's mind sharp while the kids are out of school. There are answers in the back.

Perfect!
Derived From Web , Jul 2, 2019
This is what I was looking for. My son is having a hard time keeping up with his grade level in all subjects at school. My daughter exceeds grade level expectations in reading and writing. They both love working on these books. I have never seen my son smile while writing. When he didn't have to, he made extra spots on the page. This is a big deal for him. My daughter is halfway through her 2nd grade book. She'll start 2nd grade this fall. Brainquest makes learning fun.

Good
Derived From Web , Mar 5, 2019
I bought a 1st grade one for my child and a second grade one for my child. The 4th grade notebook is being reviewed by me. My son is a gifted child. There's not much learning going on in the second grade class for him. I don't know how to pick up the slack at home since I'm not an educator or gifted intelligence. I bought the two grades because I thought I could provide some challenge. It is working. The problems are fun and relevant in the real world. He likes it. I would say go up at least one grade level for my non-gifted daughter because otherwise they may be too simple.

busy workbook
Derived From Web , Jan 22, 2019
My son has gone through multiple math and language books. The spectrum language art took almost 9 months to finish, and I felt it was too much. I wanted to combine math and language into a single book. I wanted to try Brain Quest because it's popular with lots of good review. I don't like it very much. There is a lot of work going on in this workbook. I feel like it's unfocused and random. I don't know if a child can learn coherently from the variety of sections. I will have my son read this book, but probably not again.

Great Assignments but Lacking a Good Guide for Adults
Derived From Web , Jan 16, 2019
It's great coverage for my son. The brain boxes don't have enough information for an instructor. I am not uneducated. I achieved all A's in college, but I don't always remember all the rules. It would be great if this company created a teaching guide. I wish it went past 6th grade. I have 4 stars because I don't have enough information to help your child with their assignments. Even though a child can attend a standard school, many parents need more guidance for working with their child, especially with the common core curriculum which even teachers with degrees barely understand.
