   Fabulous
The book was complete, so I chose 5 stars. Everything that had been a problem in Eldest was solved in brisingir. The author put into the book a nice feeling. It feels like you are torn between oaths, the one who travels around everywhere. I loved this book because it allowed me to experience courage. When Roran is proving himself to the Varden, you feel like he must be brave and just do it. This book was wonderful!

   Long, but totally worth it!
The book was on the arm of the couch when I woke up on Christmas morning in 2008. I was very happy. As soon as we were done opening presents, I ran to my room and started reading. This was a great story. It took me a while to read, but not as much as Eldest did. I read it every chance I got. I loved it all the same, even though it was long. Christopher Paolini is a great author. I enjoy his style of writing. When I was younger, this series was so popular. It is a good book for fantasy lovers.

   Increasingly violent
I am amazed at the ability of this author to write a well developed story at such a young age. The series is drawn out and filled with mindless violence that is not necessary to the plot and distracts from the development of the characters and their individual stories.

Fantasy lover's book that needs to be read.
The first book of the Inheritance Cycle was self published by Christopher Paolini. A major publisher picked him up after it was a huge success. The first two books of the series are called Brisingr. You will love this series if you love the author.

Adventures galore. Exciting hard to put down.
After my grandson and son said they were rereading the series, I decided to read it too. I'm enjoying the Heritage series all over again. The challenges of this time in history are related to the events of today. It's fun to follow Eragon and Sarafira on their journey, and it takes me to a fantasy era we all need sometimes. There are great storylines and well written. It was difficult to put it down.

   Fire and swords
The series consists of three books. Eragon is trying to return to his training as he learns the ways of magic on his own. He is needed to support the troops in their fight. His cousin is also working his way through the ranks, trying to get a place. Eragon is sent on a mission to the dwarfs to learn more about their politics and clan organization as they choose a new leader. There are many secrets to learn about his family and how he gained so much power. The word for fire, brisingr, will play a key role in his path forward.

Narrator Gerard Doyle brings this series to life
The four books of The Inheritance Cycle are a great story with many individual characters. Every person in the books Eragon, Eldest, Brisinger, and Inheritance is brought to life in a way that no other Narrator did for me. As the series progressed, Christopher Paolini grew as a writer. The series earned five stars and my highest regard.

   Enjoyed most of this book
Right where Eldest left off is where this book picks up. Roran is trying to save her. Can he save her? Is she still alive. When the time comes, Eragon and Saphira will be better equipped to fight. I am a big fan of Eragon and Saphira, but I found myself looking at some of the parts. There is a lot happening in these books. I don't want to give anything away. There are some of my favorite quotes. I know what we do is right, but it doesn't mean easy. The monsters of the mind are worse than the actual ones. More people are hamstrung by fear, doubt, and hate than any other thing. Love can be bad. It can make you overlook flaws in a person's behavior.

   Read the series in order
After reading the first two, it is best to read the third book. You will be lost as there are many characters to follow. This is a great series. It has everything from a plot to a philosophy. It will appeal to everyone, children and adults, who love dragon lore. The primary dragon in the tale is called Saphira. She and her human rider are a formidable pair of heroes because she is a dangerous predator and he is a human. The author has shown us how the line between good and bad is not always clear. Humans, elves, and other creatures are a mixture of good and bad, acting out of necessity under pressure to survive.
