Off gassing, even after months!!
Derived From Web , Nov 8, 2021
We like this encyclopedia, but unfortunately we can't use it because of the off gassing from the glue or other chemicals used to make it. We buy a lot of books and have never had this experience with any of the others we have bought, so this is definitely a problem with this encyclopedia and not general sensitivity to book smell. It has been several months since I thought the smell would go away. We will have to get rid of it, and I cannot recommend it to anyone. It's a shame.

Leaves out important info; includes questionable content
Derived From Web , Oct 26, 2021
A picture of a person in a costume. She is rich and famous, what is it about her? A blurb about a person. The Cold War spread did not mention Reagan or Thatcher. The 2 page spread on communism did not mention the millions killed by communist dictators. They were some beloved by their people, that's what the section says. Mao was a hero to many citizens who believed that their country was not being run in the best interests of the people.

Unbelievable
Derived From Web , Jun 12, 2021
They put a picture of cardi under a dress and decoration, she has nothing to do with knowledge of fashion, music, or anything else, it's crazy. They couldn't come up with another multinational corporation other than Mcdonalds. kylie jenner is a billionaire. Very upsetting.

It's not a people's magazine, since when did a children's encyclopedia include pictures ofCardi B andKylie Jenner? Garbage is absolute.

Really a great book and well-done
Derived From Web , Feb 18, 2021
This is not a real encyclopedia. I recommend it for its general knowledge. There is one thick volume of interesting facts, photos and pictures. I was so happy that it arrived in the mail today. My grandson is three years old and he wanted to look at the pictures and illustrations in the book. My granddaughter is almost six years old and she loved looking through it. She can read, but it's hard for her to read small articles. I spent a long time reading the small articles she asked me to read. I think it's more for a very good eight-year-old reader. An adult can read to a child. I liked it. It's good for kids and adults who like to learn something new.

Comes used

There is a damaged spine and a little ripped item. I should not have paid full price for a book that is clearly a usedreturned book. The damage was not caused by shipping. You can buy in person.
