Eric Carle, illustrator of many beloved children's books, was born in the United States, but spent his early years in Stuttgart, Germany, where he studied art and design at the Academy of Applied Art. Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? was the first book he illustrated.

We all love this book!

I bought this after I realized I left her other book at the hotel we were in. I was so glad I did. My LO loves it! She likes to open the window and see the new animal. I like watching her enjoy stories with her mom.

My 1 year old loved this book. She tore the other copy up that someone gave her. As we turn the page, she is able to say the names of the animals. It is a great book to read with my babies.

One of the best books I have ever read. My son didn't put it down for a long time. He loves being able to slide the pictures by himself. The illustration is beautiful. The book and price were great. Would recommend to any child.

My son is going to be 2 years old at the end of the month and he loves books. He likes brown bear, baby bear, panda bear, polar bear and hungry caterpillar. I bought him a pack of bears last year. I bought him the brown bear book because it was a cool upgrade. I thought so. When we read the book and finished it, my son went to the last page with all the animals on it, but it was not there. The last page of this book is missing. My son is upset about it and I don't understand why. I have to buy the smaller version again so buying this book was pointless. It is a great book and there is a missing page.

Excellent book. Just not durable.

My son is obsessed with this book. The smaller board books last him for 3 or so weeks. He takes it everywhere. Even sleeps with it. I gave him the slide to use. He liked it. It fell apart in a day and a half. So disappointing. We're going back to smaller board books.

Bad book binding; excellent read

My son and I love this book. It was really, so good. The binding received three stars. The book begins to fall apart in a month. I had to buy it again after five months because it was in three pieces. Poor quality binding. Excellent activity, though. My son lives it.
