great for homeschoolers

This workbook makes spelling easy not only, it makes it fun! We are long-time homeschoolers and we used Spelling Power with our other children and it worked wonderfully. With our last child, age 8, not so much at all. We decided to try a traditional spelling book and decided to go with Evan-Moor because their books are always top notch. Since changing to this workbook, my daughter has successfully learned to spell.

Content is great; condition terrible
Derived From Web , Jan 26, 2022
The spelling content is great for my 4th graders, however the book came with a huge “ return †sticker across the front and pages were missing inside. I bought this new, and it was not. Very disappointed ''.

Highly recommend

I appreciate the variety of words as it includes some similar sounding words and challenges the student to know the difference as well as to identify patterns. The lessons are well thought out and the lessons are presented very straightforwardly, so that thankfully I didn 't have to teach. There are parts to practice writing words and then matching them from memory, then copying them with their meaning and using them in a sentence. Sometimes you write in missing letters, syllables, Latin roots or other variations. It is great for etymology. My son does not love this because it is still in his mind, but he doesn 't hate it because despite his perfectionism, it can be pretty straightforward and quick.

Book is well put together. My son is in the second grade, but he loves math, so I challenge him constantly. I wish there were only more pages.

Daughter loves this workbook!

And every week she builds two of her own words in some confidence. She enjoys the workbook pages and the spelling words seem to click faster and easier by doing the workbook pages. I already bought the book next year!

Fantastic for Homeschoolers
Derived From Web , Jul 10, 2019
We tried everything. I like that he can work with this at his own pace. I can see that he has actually filled the worksheet. The chunks are broken into easily usable daily portions. Just enough to know that you have done the work that you need. Not so much that it makes you feel boggish. I have already bought the next in this series for the next year.

I found the best choice for our homeschooling. Kids like the activities and I like independent learning.

Great supplement to public school

One of my children struggles with spelling, which is not emphasized in her public school very much. I supplemented at home with this and she really enjoys it!

Good spelling book
Derived From Web , Mar 1, 2018
I use them for my homeschool children, but I usually have to use a grade older for the words to be challenging enough. It is easy to learn and repetition helps the kids to quickly use. There is absolutely no planning that I have to do and my children can do them independently, except for a few dictation sentences and spelling tests.

His enjoyment of it goes A LONG WAY in the effort ...
Derived From Web , Jan 13, 2017
Until now, nothing seems to help my son with the spelling. He does, however, really likes this book. He likes the system and therefore doesn 't dread doing his spelling. Thank you for the great service.
