   Engaging, Occasionally Tiresome, sometimes Stilted
The story is engaging but written in a shaggy-dog style. The description of the scene is effusive and slow. The dialogue doesn't fit the characters well at the end of the book, for example when a crook speaks too formally to law enforcement officers. I expected more from a Grisham, but I am picky.

   Twisted, it leaves you wanting to know more
I wanted to change the names of some of the characters. It gave me a craving to keep reading. I wanted to find out what happened. It is enjoyable. It gives you an idea of what a thief is capable of. The time the author spent on the female characters at the beach was a bit long, but overall it was an interesting read.

   Quirky and fun
It wouldn't have been possible for me to not like this book. The gang of thieves stole the original transcripts of some classic books. We have a book keeper who may or may not be a criminal. There is a writer who worms her way into a world that she wasn't ready for. The book is fun. I read this book in less than an hour. I couldn't hold it down. I didn't want it to end. The characters are quirky. The mystery is keeping you up at night. The book is not too deep where you get lost. I' ll be getting my hands on the next book. I want to know what these characters will do next. It's sure to be fun.

We have a book keeper who may or may not be a criminal. The book is exciting, intriguing, and fun and is about a struggling writer who worms her way into a world she wasn't ready for. I read this book in less than an hour. I could not put it down. I wanted it to end. The characters are fun. You are on your toes with the mystery. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book because it's not too deep where you get lost in the muck. I want to know what these characters are going to do next. It's sure to be more interesting.

   miossing manuscripts
This is the best book John Grisham has written. A group of four people are in the library. The original manuscripts of F. Scott Fitzgerald were stolen when they were sure that the library was empty. Two are caught by the FBI within hours, a third is the weakest link and is killed by the leader. The manuscripts move from Philadelphia to Boston. Merer Mann dropped out of her PhD program at Duke so she moved to there with her grandmother. Mecer is recruited by the University's Insurance Company to help recover the manuscripts. This book is very good.

   Nicely plotted, but ...
The book starts promisingly, with a nicely-plotted robbery, but it got bogged down with too much information about the book business, what it is like to be a writer, and what it is like to run a bookstore. Unlike Grisham's earlier books, this one gives little reason for the reader to care how the story ends. I was curious to know how the puzzle would work out, and I enjoyed the nice twists and turns in the plot, but I really didn't care who ended up in prison and who didn't. Grisham has some of the best books. Not this one, not this one.

   Read this book - you will enjoy it
John Grisham books are enjoyable to read. This one was no different. The review would get noticed if I gave it four stars. You could let me rant with four stars, but I rarely read the five star ratings. I couldn't get myself to do that. The book is called Camino Island. Purchase the book, set aside a weekend to read it, and enjoy. He puts me there every step of the way when he paints a picture of the story.

   Great book but a little slow in some chapters.
The book as a whole is very good, at times it keeps you wondering what is going to happen and you want to keep reading to find out. It can feel a little slow in the development of the characters after the first chapter, sometimes it takes too long to describe their backstory, especially with the intense first chapter. This novel is very interesting. It's well written and keeps you in suspense, but you don't feel lost in what's happening. Highly recommended.

   Boring and disappointing - no more Grisham for me.
I haven't read Grisham in a while. I recall that he could spin a story with 3D characters. This book made me laugh. I finished it, which is saying something. I never had any suspense. There were cutouts of the characters. No more Grisham for me.

   Grisham at His Best!!!
Different people want different things. Several years ago I was tired of lawyers and poorly crafted endings and he is still a great story teller. This was my first Grisham in a long while. I think he has one of his best books. Five F. Scott Fitzgerald manuscripts were stolen from the library vaults at the University of Princeton. The plan goes awry and the search for the manuscripts focuses on a Florida island town near Jacksonville. Grisham gives an interesting and informative look at the publishing industry in general because the town is home to an eclectic group of authors and a charismatic local bookseller. The narrative is fast paced and the ending is thought out, so suffice it to say. This book was enjoyable. It is a page turner that is informative as well as entertaining. It should be recommended.
