   Excellent book
Beautifully written book for helping nervous children and adults to take care of themselves when thoughts and fears take over the anxious system.

   Beautiful book!
This is such a beautiful book. The illustrations are lovely and the message is timeless. We got it in the middle of the Pandemic, when my son was fighting with anxiety and this book really resonated with him. He has often been asked to read it and has often referenced it in dealing with unwanted anxious thoughts. I recommend highly as a parent and as a nursery teacher I think it should be in every classroom!

   Great for Mindfulness
Have you ever experienced one of those days when a negative thought seems to take over? You try to linger it, but despite how hard you try it, lingers? I know that I have! I think that '' is why I ve been drawn to catching thoughts ''. In this story a young girl is attracted by a negative thought. She tells her to stop, ignores it, starts to cry and even starts to yell, but the thought won 't go away. Frustrated and discouraged, the girl looks that bad thought right in the face and says Hello ''. That is when she begins to notice the beautiful and positive thoughts around her. When she catch these new thoughts, she is finally able to let go of the negative. This book would be a great addition to your emotional-social learning book collection! It shows kids that normal feelings are big, but there are ways to acknowledge these feelings and to develop strategies for working through them. This book ties so well with mindfulness.

Perfect addition for all classroom libraries, K-12!
CATCHING THOUGHTS explores in a pure and honest way into the imprisoning nature of anxiety and then lifts it up and away to the beauty that can be found on the other side. Between Clark's prose and Macon's delicate illustrations, this story is a great treasure and a guaranteed treasure, especially in these troubling times. As a former teacher of English language, I think this book is a necessary addition to all classroom libraries.
