   Wow! Gorgeous art. Fascinating story.
Three children play in a park. Spring with dinosaurs is a spring rider. A chalk bag. The children begin to draw. . and then. Magic. My grandson and I have loved and have most of the books by David Wiesner. I just discovered Bill Thomson and Chalk. The most gorgeous art is created by the artist. I was going to give this to my grandson for Christmas, but I don 't think I can wait. He is going to get an early Christmas present today. I am only a little sad that I already bought books for all the children on my Christmas list that year. I just want someone to get this for you! And Bill Thomson.... he even thanked the company that made the playground ride that story is written around.
   Just a picture book!
I was cute, though, and I share it with my grandkids. , ''
   Great art work!
I am always impressed when someone can tell a great story using a lot of pictures. The drawings are colourful and detailed and a joy to look at! Book is great for children. You could have the kids tell you the story of what they are looking at. Great way to change their imaginations!
   Great visual picture book!
This book is a great visual book. Children are drawn into the story as they use the pages. An absolutely great book if you want to stimulate the imagination and creativity of a child.
Bill Thomson guides children with his wonderful artwork to creativity.
   Great for new readers!
I love this series of the books. I bought them for my 3 year old grandson, but found that my 4 year old granddaughter was totally taken in by the idea that she could read. What a great tool to get your children interested in learning how to read!
   Fun and engaging
The Chalk book has no words and it makes it an excellent book for story retelling. It also facilitates language in children. You can tell the story to the children or you can have the child tell the story. The graphics are very realistic art work.
   wonderful illustrations!!
It is a story of discovery, friendship and hope! A truly beautiful story book! Preschool to older children : Greatfor.
Fun story of an adventure with magical chalk
Beautiful pictures, fun storyline's first person, third person, once upon a time. Read it with fun!
   Speech-language pathologist approved
I am a speech-language pathologist at a university on a faculty level. Many times, I have them use wordless picture books to elicit speech and language. This book is a wonderful tool for them and I often recommend this book to them.
