Book Overview

Gathered in one volume for the very first time, here are three yuletide tales of mystery, murder, and romance, featuring your favorite sleuths . . .

THE TWELVE DESERTS OF CHRISTMAS by JOANE FLUKE
It's the perfect mix of naughty and nice when two lovestruck boarding school teachers watch six kids over Christmas break. But when someone wants the cozy couple's romance to burn out faster than a scorched fruitcake, it's Hannah Swensen to the rescue, armed with her sleuthing
skills-and twelve deliciously festive recipes . . .

NIGHTMARE ON ELF STRET by LAURA LEVINE
Aside from the mortifying costume, how bad can a gig as a mall Santa's elf be? Jaine Austen finds out when she's teamed up with the Santa from Hell. But things go from bad to worse when he's found murdered on the job-and Jaine is a suspect. Now all she wants for Christmas is to find the real killer . . .

THE CHRISTMAS THIEF by LESLIE MEIER
Elizabeth Stone is ready for a white Christmas in Tinker's Cove, Maine-until a fancy Yule ball at the Florida hotel where she works dumps snow on her plans. The sponsor's jewels have gone missing and the police are asking about her ties to a cute mystery guest. Good thing Elizabeth's mother, Lucy Stone, flew down to surprise her. 'Tis the season for a little investigating . . .

   Stories were new to me
I like all of them. I thought these were new stores, but they were re- written. I liked the boarding school setting of the story and the recipes. I missed Jaine's visits to her mom and dad's in the second story. They are so funny. The story was good. I was happy when Lucy arrived in Florida, but I missed Tinker's Grove.

   Fun Christmas Stories
Before The Twelve Deserts of Christmas was included in Sugar and Spice, all of the stories had been published before. Secret Santa included Nightmare of Elf Street. The Christmas Thief was included in a film.

Only one good author, the other two, not so much
I finished the section written by an author that I have enjoyed reading before. I don't like the other two sections. There are recipes in the stories. I have tried many recipes from other books. I feel like I can bake her recipes.

   Disappointed!
I am a fan of all these authors, I have read their Christmas books. I was disappointed in this one. The story that she has published before is called " Joanne Fluke". The Lucy stone story is mostly about her daughter. I would not have bought this book if I had seen it in the bookstore and been able to page through it.

Love the recipes as well as the plot in each book!
I enjoy the author's series. I have collected all the recipes I have made so far. They are my go to for fun and easy recipes. There are great cooking hints included in the directions that will make it easier to do your job. I can't wait to read the next book! The character development is great.

   not new
I thought I was getting new stories from these authors when I ordered this book. I was looking forward to reading new stories by authors I like.

there is nothing to know in this novel
I' ve read all of the books by the author. This is the worst thing that has ever been printed. The plot from the previous novel is expected to be followed by her novels. Not this one, that's for sure. This is the one for you if you want to cook. I want to get my money back.

   Not worth the price
The authors put out a Christmas book. The Lucy Stone novel had little Lucy Stone in it. Jaine and Prozac are hilarious, thought the ending was sudden, but I didn't realize it was the end! Hannah was selling things. It took less than 3 hours to consume the entire book. You can get it from the library.
