Okay story in general, but not a good aid for Kindergarten readiness

I was a fan of Clifford books as a kid, and thought this would be cute and helpful to get my daughter excited for Kindergarten, but it was more about Clifford's size and how Emily is comfortable being there because she has Clifford there. If you're looking for books to pump up your Kindergartener for their first day, this isn't the one.

My daughter absolutely loves the book. This is her first year of kindergarten and she has a good teacher. We have had this book for about two weeks and we have read it every night since it arrived, and I am certain we will read it every night until Kindergarten starts and beyond. I was very careful to not buy any books that referenced anxiety, since my daughter has not expressed any anxiety and I did not want to get that idea into her head.
